30th March, Osaka

We jump on a bus, and we are happy as we are finished with crowded trains and their stations.

It is only just over an hour to get there, nothing to see as there a large noise barriers for the whole distance.
First stop is Umeda Sky Building for a panoramic view of Osaka. 40 floors plus a roof top.
Osaka is far bigger than I had imagined. Great view!
Love the way roads and buildings can occupy the same space.
We drive through the city, which really looks like any other city, except along the river bank.
We arrive at Osaka Castle park. The castle had been renovated inside apparently so we did not go inside, but we are here to see the gardens.
And all the locals are also here picnicking under the cherry trees.
With all this blossom you forget to notice the groomed pine trees a symbol of longevity.
Then onto the little city streets which is how I imagined it would be.

Our last night with the group. We share a Shabu-Shabu with some Londoners we met.
